The Church is a beautiful, historical place. You can feel the history here & it's well looked after. If you're ever in the Hawkesbury, it's well worth coming for a visit.

WHAT AN UNEXPECTED PLACE 5/5

Coming to Ebenezer Church, I had very low expectations. Why? Because what else can you do in a church right? But my oh my, I was proven wrong by this place.

The roads: Hidden in the depths of Windsor, the roads leading to Ebenezer Church are something taken out of a Microsoft Wallpaper. The place are so simple and tranquil, yet they produce so much beauty. It is similar to a woman without any makeup but is very beautiful.

The Ebenezer Church: Despite the old age of the church, it is well maintained and very presentable. As Australia’s oldest standing church (founded in 1809), traces of time can be seen on the structure,as well as the surroundings of Ebenezer Church. It is such a nice change of pace from the modern buildings in the city.

The Surrounding Areas: the church also has a cemetery inside. However, contrary to common stereotypes of cemeteries being CREEPY and SCARY, the graves actually in Ebenezer church are tranquil yet beautiful. Yes, my description is weird but I was surprised by this place. Moreover, it is beside the beautiful Hawkesbury River that makes it more peaceful and prettier.

Overall, I highly recommend this place as a visit because there are tons of activities that can be done in the area. One of the most surprising visits I ever had.

Definitely an important place to visit if you'd like to be in touch with Australia's history. Lovely little souvenir shop, school master's house, Devonshire tea, and countless beautiful old graves to admire, as well as a view of the Hawkesbury river.

Such a beautiful church. Had tea and scones here last week in the sunshine, overlooking the Haweksbury River. Loved every minute of it.

This tiny little church is Australia's oldest church. There is a graveyard and a small house where volunteers have displayed some items about its history. Everything is open and free to enter. You can buy some tea and scones which is basically straight from a regular kitchen in the house. It's a real home style experience rather than a shop. The church and house are very small so you can see everything very quickly however I would recommend sitting for a while as it really is a peaceful area to simply sit outside and enjoy.

The oldest Church in Australia, built in 1809, on the banks of River Hawksbury, at the NSW town of Ebenezer.

The town was named after Eben-Ezer in the Bible, 1 Samuel 7:12, wherein Samuel set up a stone between Mizpah and Shen and gave the name to Ebenezer.
