BEST centre hands down and I've used another centre for my eldest, and heard many stories about other centres for comparison.
I could write a novel about why it deserves 5 stars and the educators alone are enough to give the centre all the stars it deserves.

From Susie being an awesome director who always had time to discuss any questions we had to their experienced educators who always make you feel welcome and truly care for your kids.
Not once did we have any issues dropping our little one off and he went there for 4 years
The centre facilities are beautiful and well maintained.
There is an on-site chef preparing healthy meals for the kids.
The annual Xmas party they throw is never to be missed (how we have so much fun!)
And then they throw a beautiful graduation ceremony for the pre-school kids - to say they are generous is an under-statement
You can see why they are a non-for-profit centre - everything is done for the families.

For those who gave them a 1 star just because you couldn't get a spot... It is atrocious when I think about how hard working and good the people at WRNCC are and how upsetting it must be when you see these ridiculous 1 stars...

I had the pleasure to be part of West Ryde Neighborhood Childcare Center family, and I can't say enough positive things about it. The educators are incredibly caring, and they truly go above and beyond to ensure the well-being and development of each child. The environment is filled with love and warmth, making it a perfect place for kids to thrive.

The center is the fantastic preschool study plan, which includes innovative approaches like using Elsa to help kids learn another language. This not only enhances their language skills but also broadens their horizons in a fun and engaging way.

In addition, the center actively involve the children in activities like composting and gardening, teaching them the importance of caring for our planet from a young age.

One important piece of advice for parents in the area is to get on the center's waiting list as soon as you find out you're expecting. It's a smaller, close-knit community with limited spots, and they prioritize existing families and their siblings, so securing a place can be competitive.

In sum, West Ryde Neighborhood Childcare Center offers a nurturing and enriching environment for children, and it's a place where they can truly blossom.

I can’t speak highly enough of this centre. I am so at ease knowing how well my children are being taken care of. The educators go above & beyond & very much work together with the parents to best teach, guide & nurture your child.
I’d absolutely recommend it to anyone but would make sure you put your child on the waiting list even before birth. The demand for this centre is very much a reflection of the quality service that they provide.

Amazing staff. Such a friendly and caring environment. 5 years of caring for my children and still going. I can’t recommend enough. A long waitlist is a testament to how great of a centre it is. Personally I put my children’s name down before birth to not be disappointed.

Keep up the amazing work

Absolutely amazing centre. Have been sending my children here for many years now (3 children) and have not regretted the choice one bit. The director and educators are amazing, basically part of the family!

The kids all absolutely have loved growing up with the centre. The education programmes in place are impressive - the centre is an adopter of prelit and early learning stem (ELSA) and it defintely pays dividends, really gets the children ready for school. Food wise - centre is simply amazing, a proper chef prepares the menu and meals for the children giving them the nutrition and engery they need (better than home!). The centre may look like it's in an enclosed building - hoever there is actually a sizable outdoor play area for all age groups - so the kids get daily time outdoors to enjoy the sun and have a run-around.

Just to highlight how impressive this centre is, i'll give an example. Everyone knows that there are challenges with early childhood educators - hiring them and retaining them. All three of my children have had the same educators in the babies room (7 year gap). Simply unheard of. The team there have the same drive and energy and desire to deliver for families as when I first met them. Amazing.

Love the centre, love the educators, I wouldn't think of sending my kids anywhere else.

Just looking at some of the negative comments below - can understand the frustration - everyone wants to get into this centre and there are only so many spots.
Simply put - once the spots are taken up they simply don't go. That's a testament to the centre, I think. Can't see why it's a negative for the centre if nobody wants to leave? I can't recall many of my children's peers leaving. A family in one of my childrens class in the past moved to Artarmon - they still kept coming down to West Ryde each and every day for drop-off and pickup with work in-between. Another family from my other child's room moved to Beecroft and they do the same. Food for thought.

Don't put your child in their waitinglist, you can never get a chance to get in, even you were told you will be the first on the waitinglist, after few months later there will be many more on the list before you.
As the other reviews say the Center waiting list needs to be published on the centre’s website so people knows how the queue looks like before they considering this childcare Center.
