Focus College is by far the best tutoring center that I have been to. The environment helped and encouraged me to further push myself in doing the work whilst always having a blast in the meantime. The work given is always challenging and allowed me to understand the content better. And most importantly, my mentor, Jimmy, is an amazing teacher that has always helped me throughout my high school education. He constantly believed in me and my abilities, giving me more confidence in my work, and always helped our class if there were any questions. Besides being an amazing tutor, he is also just an amazing person. His charisma, his humor and his genuine kindness just made the class a lot more enjoyable and I always, and I do mean it, always look forward to having my focus classes. So after all of this I would just like the say thank you sir. Thank you for teaching me for the last 4 years. Your lessons have strongly impacted my life in high school and your words will for sure stick with me even after high school. I will come back here to check up on you every now and again. Thank you so so much sir!

As a past student over 13 years ago who started with Jimmy teaching me at his garage when I was in year 9 or so, I can easily say that Jimmy is the person who has motivated me to become a secondary mathematics teacher today and can't thank him enough for his efforts. After seeing him again today for the first time in a while, it really made be feel lucky and proud to have been his student ages ago. I'd highly recommend Jimmy as your tutor as he would genuinely bring the best out of you. Thank you so much for the past years in high school.

I write this review with a tear in my eye following my last lesson with Jimmy, partly because the lesson was so hard, mainly because that was the last time I got to sit in Jimmy's class as a student. Jimmy has been the most impactful teacher and mentor that I have come across in my 13 years of schooling, so impactful that he is known among my friends as Jimmy Kouch the GOAT. Jimmy is an extremely charismatic, honest, funny and great teacher, reflected in the quality of his teaching, combined with his passion and effort that he puts into class, I can confidently say that I looked forward to every single lesson with Jimmy and that they will be missed. Not only did Jimmy make the class fun with his jokes, but he also engaged the class by progressively increasing the difficulty of questions to ensure that we were optimally challenged whilst still learning. Further, Jimmy encourages the crucial skill of thinking critically and logically, ensuring that not only are we equipped to answer common exam questions but also taught how to approach questions that we have never seen before. Additionally, the effort Jimmy puts into the class with the free extra lessons, still teaching when his hand hurts, and catering to the class' needs for his lesson preparation inspired us to try harder and make him proud. This review is just as much a review as well as a thank you to Jimmy - Thank you sir for not only being my teacher, but also my mentor, your kind words and effort did not go unnoticed, and were crucial in inspiring me to endure my toughest year of high school. I hope to visit you again in the future, not only to check in on you but so that I can become a story you tell your current students.

Jimmy is a great teacher who has immensely helped me in maths. He goes above and beyond with every one of his students and provides great exam techniques . He also gives us an abundant of resources and past papers to assist us with school assessments. Not only that he gives us extra lessons without charge to ensure we cover enough before our assessments. Would highly recommend!

Jimmy is an extremely caring teacher and always encourages his senior students during stressful examination periods. He may seem strict at times, but it is essential for students as it motivates us to achieve better results and for us to maintain a good work ethic. Focus College is a great tutoring centre for high schoolers, I would recommend this place if you're looking for a math tutor that will help you strive to do better. Jimmy is the best and first maths tutor teacher I've had so far and I've honestly have learnt so much from his teaching.
