As a parent who has children that attends SHCS I strongly disagree with the comment about No Diversity. SHCS has over the last 10years had, has and in the future ACCEPTED children with special needs, a lot more than any other government, private and independent schools. Children that need extra care, they GIVE IT. I have seen this with my own eyes over the years. Their fees are acceptable an on par with other private Christian Schools. NO school, private, religious or government is perfect. Again no school is perfect. Like us human beings we are not perfect.
This I know is factual that all the children that attends SHCS are well educated, looked after, respected, and protected, which include special needs. The school cares for their students. Also the most important factor is that they are taught how to be Saved and become a Christian, Christian values and live a Christian life for Jesus as they grow up in this world.

No diversty for children that need a little extra, they simply won’t accept because they do not support kids with any special/extra needs. Definitely any other private schools will offer this or have some sort of support and still charge 1/4 the fees. For what they charge they should offer diversity and care.

Sherwood Christian Christian School is everything about how to train your child and shape their hearts to have gospel-centred. Mrs. Stashko is a warm-hearted kindy teacher who really care about the spiritual and academic growth of our children. We are so blessed with this school.

The reviews on this site appear to be poles apart.
The “multi-star” reviews are either extremely brief and/or overly, emotionally nice in their comments. This type of “emotional reaction” holds no substance or fact based evidence and hold no regard or kindness for the abuse victims’ suffering.
The “one star” comments have been written with considerable thought, personal experience, honesty and fact based evidence. These comments have taken into account the actual statements of students & parents, current or past, who appear to have been subjected to negative, traumatising stimuli.
The school, an institution of education directly associated and run by the attached small church, are places that a child or adult should expect to find as a haven from bullying and abuse. When a person's experiences dictate to them that their safety at said school or church is non-existent, they are affected greatly and can become withdrawn, anxious and even depressed. These impairments hinder the victims’ ability to retain and assimilate knowledge from both intended and unwritten learning environments.
The significant others of these students who have written these comments have conveyed their shock at what has occurred. They also convey an understandable anger and disappointment with the system to which they had entrusted their children. This perceived modicum of trust is not something that one would associate with a place of education, especially one that touts itself as a religious organisation.
The bullying and abuse is more than just an attack on the innocence and security of the lives of young children, which in itself is reprehensible, it is also a betrayal of the trust placed in the school and church by the children’s significant others. The trauma that usually results from such instances is extremely harmful to both student and guardian physically, mentally and spiritually and the effects can be life long. Any person of rational thinking would not want to attend a church, or school, that would allow children and adults to be physically, mentally and spiritually abused.
The “multi-star” reviews contain the substance of nothing more than friendly peer support, for work colleagues or co-members of an organisation in order to gain good standing. This style of writing usually belies a less academic process of thought, conveying a more personal and highly emotionally charged desire to “hit back” at comments rather than to address, with logic and thought ,facts and truths that have been revealed by another party, namely the writers of the “one star” comments.
These comments are representative of a system where those perceived as the weak and undesirables, or people with different beliefs and not associated with the school’s and church’s own perceived normality, are bullied and ostracised. These actions are the actions of a society, a sub-culture or even counter-culture, as would be expected in a controlling and dominating train of thought that led to such historically shocking occurrences as the ATO standoff in Waco Texas.
