Lorien Novalis School has been an amazing experience for my daughter. From the moment we called to inquire we experienced a warm 'family' welcome and that has continued. My daughter loves going to school and as a result her school work has improved dramatically. She has made some amazing friendships. Her experience here has helped reignite her love of learning, her curiosity and her imagination. The school offers a wholistic approach which embraces academic and creative learning which is engaging and imaginative. I wish I had discovered Lorien Novalis earlier!

Steiner education has worked well for my daughter who was not motivated nor developing in the local public school; Lorien offers hands-on skills and nurtures the kids own ability as opposed to the hard-driven performance-based school system... I understand it is not for everyone, after all we live in a competitive world but not everyone can or should be coerced to become a scientist, doctor or lawyer; my daughter found her calling in art and we're extremely happy with how she developed in this school

We were very excited to have our 2 daughters start with this school but left with a huge disappointment in the middle of the term. I find the school very $ motivated and in general does not give much feedback about how the kids done for the day. The turning point for us was the fact that the teacher did not recognise my wife who picked up the kids every single time for months. We could not even get any refund back 🙂 Overall disappointing experience...

Very nice school. In particular the preschool and Big Kindy class where ours went to. It is full of nature and joy. The entire staff had been very friendly and the teachers met with us several times before signing up. The principal listened to us and everyone has been very welcoming. We were always greeted by name by the teachers and even by the office staff. Best school I have seen. Highly recommend.

I attended for only a few months in 2014 and whilst there were a few teachers that were absolutely wonderful and nurturing (the best teachers name was Patrice I believe, she was amazing and I wish I could thank her now) I can’t say the same for most of them. I used to dress a bit alternatively and so I’d wear black, this specific day I had a band t-shirt on with a picture of the band (no scary imagery or anything) and that afternoon I was pulled into a room with my mother. Four people (the vice principal and other higher ups) proceeded to tell me I was “scaring the kids” with how I dressed. That stuck with me as someone who joined the school with severe anxiety. I felt embarrassed and confused and my low self confidence took plummeted further. This may seem like nothing but as a child that sticks with you. I have other negative experiences from this school but overall there are some truely wonderful staff that are sadly overshadowed by the bad faculty

Our youngest was struggling in the conventional school system and being berated by his teacher for his inability to keep up with the other students. Since being at Lorien he has thrived, come out of his shell and enjoys going to school.
