Had a terrible experience. Karen announced the diagnosis that my son has dyslexia by saying ‘if he doesn’t have dyslexia, I’ll eat my hat’. Withdrew my son from this place after two lovely tutors quit in quick succession seemingly because of Karen’s unpleasantness. She was abrupt and unkind towards my son. It took a year to be refunded the money owed to me and required many phone calls and emails to which Karen constantly avoided me.

Many years ago my daughter was struggling with her reading in primary school, and a reading tutor recommended getting her tested at the Irlens clinic at the time out learning centre. Since then she has gone from struggling to cope with school work and music practice, to doing well at school and in her music studies. Somebody once told me that Irlens syndrome was a load of rubbish from the witches and fairies basket. Life taught me not to dismiss a perfectly functional home remedy simply because it may reside in the witches and fairies basket, but in any case, there's no rubbish or witches or fairies in the difference between what my daughter can manage when she wears her coloured lenses, vs what she can manage without them (very little!) So glad the Time Out Learning Centre was able to help my daughter.

I found Karen and her staff to be totally professional and friendly. Karen has done wonders for my daughter who has come along in leaps and bounds and has more confidence as she was very timid prior to her consultations with Karen and her staff.
