I used this gym for roughly 2 years 2021-2023
Called to cancel they didn't pick-up 4x so I emailed and still got charged for 4 months before they actually cancelled my membership.

Keeping in mind I was a student.
I called in 2024 for rectification of my undeserved debt I was told that my debt will be waived off if I signed up to the gym again under contract.
The terms were 110 for 12 months or 95 for 24 months.
Keeping in mind most gyms in the area range from 50-80 / month and they request you pay the highest price for the most debatebly the most unsanitary anytime fitness.

DO NOT SIGN UP HERE.
Everything says otherwise.
Untidy gym
Very high prices
Intentionally Hard cancellation process
(Unless I got unlucky with covid)
Inattentive and inconsistent staff (always new people)

The staff has since left on several occasions even though before remodelling the gym they had 2 girls there Sarah etc for 3 years or more.
To me this is a reflection of bad management and community.

This gym needs to get their stuff together. They have warning signs of revoking memberships if you do not put your weights away. Yet every time I go the weights aren't supposed to be where they are, barbells are all over the place and the gym is a complete mess. Why bother threatening with consequences if you don't bother acting on them. The picture below is a perfect example of how the gym is everyday. Also when equipment is broken, they take 2+ weeks to repair, making everyone queue up on the working equipment. This gym isn't quiet either and is run by 1 staff a day. Clearly they have money but don't care about a quality gym experience. Other Anytimes have done and do better.

From the moment I walk in, I'm greeted with a warm welcome and genuine enthusiasm from the team.

Careless staff, they come and go. Since Covid the management and staff came and went like the wind. It matters because Ieft. It matters because they up the price on me and I was a foundation member of over 7 years who was promised eternal price capped. Wouldn't mind if it went up a little but it honestly doubled and I joined a top Gym for the same money. Bass Hill is lacking in atmosphere, mood, equipment, hygiene, customer service and mostly space! It's,too small and parking is a mission especially during special events like Ramadan, Easter etc when the shopping centre gets,bottle necked going in or going out, you're stuck for who knows how long and you came in for was a quick session before work and now you're late. Used to be an,awesome Gym when it was downstairs, staff were awesome, lots,of room and,space and equipment, happy mood, can play music or change it, alter the volume, super clean toilets and floor most of the time, go see it now..Toilet doors don't lock, toilet flush button wrecked for months, taps leaking and blocked drains for months, no one listens to complaints or feedback. Go anywhere else, it's better for your pocket and health. I'm paying 107 AUD per month at Today Fitness, google it and see how awesome THAT place is, no comparison. Even World Gym isn't far off in price. Bass Hill was charging me 120 AUD per month and rising. I was capped at 60 per month as a foundation member. And you know what, when I asked to reason woth the halfwits, they had an attitude and told me to basically go get..if they asked me nicely, I may have been loyal and stupid and stayed. Even though I wasn't happy. Loyalty was,for me everything. Can you believe those unprofessional and untrained careless staff. I brought them several members during my time..Never a thanks and goodbye, it was ' if you don't like it, good luck finding a cheaper place mate

I was with anytime fitness for 12 years, always paid on time, no dramas. I wasn’t training for 2 years so I decided to cancel my membership. I wanted to rejoin recently and called up, the lady did not care about helping me rejoin, it’s almost as if she enjoys turning people away, or that they have enough members so they don’t care. The best I was offered was $105 a month. I went to plus fitness and signed up for $67 a month, and the people were actually nice and seemed to value you joining their gym.

Anytime fitness bass hill is horrible, don’t waste your time with them.

I joined Anytime Bass Hill for 6 months, and I'd definitely say there are better options around. Weights were never put back, most members don't come with a towel, it's gets pretty hot inside and it's just an untidy gym space.
Over the 6 months I was signed up, I went to anytime around 6-7 times and ended up signing up at another gym before my agreement finished.
I hope this gym makes significant changes to be the gym it used to be when it was downstairs in the plaza.

Anytime BASS HILL is BY FAR THE WORST

No one puts their weights back. When asked, people just give you attitude.

There's weights everywhere.
People don't wipe their machines and don't use a towel.

Staff Decent, people who go there are TERRIBLE
