I adopted my puppy from Ozzie and Friends two years ago, back when it was impossible to even get a rescue to respond to you because everyone was getting pandemic pups. Connie from OAF replied to my request with two possible puppies from a litter and helped me connect with the foster family to set up a meet and greet. Connie was so helpful those first few weeks with advice and info about taking her for her shots and spay surgery. I absolutely would adopt from OAF again and recommend you consider fostering and adopting from them as well!

I have adopted two sweet pups from Ozzie and Friends Rescue. I adopted my girl Ellie in 2023 and her brother Rocky only a few days ago. Everyone who works in this organization is so dedicated to ensuring the health and welfare of the dogs in their care and even after adoption. They were very hands on in my adoption of Rocky who surrendered back to them in California and had him transported to me in Oregon. The transport could not have gone any smoother. The driver was extremely communicative. He has a message group with everyone and you can follow him as he drives via GPS. Not only that, he feeds the pups and takes them on walks so they can use the restroom. I could not have asked for a better, smoother experience. We love you all at Ozzie and Friends!

I am so grateful to have found Ozzie and Friends. My fiance and I had been ready to add a new member to our family for a while, and had been searching for months with no success. Luckily, we showed up for an in-person adoption event at Ozzie and Friends. We didn't find our new pup that day, but we connected with Alice, who was SO helpful in doing everything she could to match us with the right dog. Alice eventually called me to let me know that we should come in, as she had a few dogs in mind. We met Luz (previously"Dora") and fell in love. Unfortunately, Luz was pretty sick as she had literally just been rescued two days prior. Nancy and Joe made sure to vaccinate, microchip, and provide Luz with medications AND a cute harness, collar and leash. Nancy let me know that Ozzie and Friends would support us in getting Luz back to good health, and they did! Nancy helped us navigate Luz's vet visits, medication, and the stress (and worry) of being a new pup parent. Alice and Nancy check in here and there even two months after our adoption, and are ALWAYS available for help, a chat, or just to share cute pictures and videos with. Thank you Ozzie and Friends for helping us bring our new baby girl home!!!

Our family was looking to adopt our first dog. Ozzie and Friends Rescue was the perfect place for us to get him. Nancy treated us like family from day one. She answered all of our questions by email, in-person, and by text. She was very friendly. You can tell that she loves what she does and takes very good care of her animals. When we arrived at Ozzie and Friends Rescue we witnessed other dogs being taken for a walk. Some are allowed to foster to adopt, which we chose to do. Nancy helped us by referring us to a great vet and suggested healthy food & supplements to keep his fur soft and shiny. After adopting our Ollie, we followed up with Nancy by text and she always asks for us to keep sending more pictures. We even took Ollie back for a visit and he was so excited to see Nancy (one of the pictures attached). A little about Ollie, he was rescued from a hoarders house in Mexico who had 40 other dogs. He was only about a year old. This was a crucial time in his life to make sure he was treated with the appropriate shots and received good care to prevent him from getting a lifelong illness. We quickly learned that Ollie was house trained, healthy, and just needed a lot of love. I have suggested Ozzie and Friends Rescue to several friends and will continue to do so. We're so grateful that Ozzie and Friends Rescue does the work they do and take such good care of animals that need the most love.

Very DISAPPOINTED!! that I communicated to Connie and Nancy about which dog we were interested in,filled out the application,asked them if the dog would be at the upcoming event and drove out to Long Beach and they didn't bring the dog to the event , so we wasted our time and gas,but they then offered to drive the dog to our home later in the day which I guess OK anyone can make a mistake ,So we agreed,but the dog meet and greet didn't go so smoothly,as our dog is dog selective although he got along with our other dog .and the dog we were interested in adopting was very shy and did not want to be around our dog. So I sent a donation to cover the time & expense of them driving the dog out to us.So I contacted them about another dog ,asked questions about her and said we wanted to meet her and RSVPd that we would drive out to their Torrance event ,so I get a collar, harness,leash,cook extra dog food and we drive out to Torrance to meet the dog only to find out they adopted her to someone else.
BEWARE !! Just because you talk to them about a certain dog, RSVP and tell them you are going to their event to meet the dog does NOT mean they will bring the dog you are interested in or they might adopt it out to someone else as you are on the road driving to get there!!
Both my husband and I were very disappointed as we put forth effort to communicate and follow through and were out, time,gas and effort for nothing.

We were looking for a puppy to give a forever home and we found Kendall aka Hazel at Ozzie and friends rescue we were on vacation and found her a few days before we was going back home and they worked with us and got the adoption pushed through for us. They truly blessed for the work they do with the furbabies that need forever homes.Thank you so much and we will give Kendall aka Hazel a wonderful loving forever home.....

My husband and I adopted our first ever puppy from Ozzie and Friends back in September 2020 and it was the best decision we've ever made! The staff are so caring and supportive and their love for rescuing animals clearly shows. We've had bad experiences with trying to adopt in the past and we were incredible appreciative of how OAF handled the adoption process - from providing photos and videos of our puppy before we picked her up, to the friendly reminders on her shots, we have nothing but praise for this amazing organization. Would highly recommend them to anyone who is looking to adopt or foster!

I fostered a litter of puppies for Ozzie and Friends in February of 2022. At the time I had just lost two dogs within a month of each other. It was extremely difficult and I contacted so many rescues about my story, and my desire to foster a litter of small dogs. Most places told me there was a long waitlist for small dogs, and that I would not be able to adopt one once the fostering was over. Then Nancy called me. She interviewed me on the phone to ensure that the puppies had a foster that fit their needs. Not only was she willing to work with me, but she was extremely helpful with advice and knowledge regarding puppies that are so young and away from the mom. At the start of this I was so worried that something would go wrong or that I wouldn’t know how to care for these babies. Nancy took a chance with me and assured me that I could do this. Her and Connie became my lifeline during the process and I always felt like they were just a phone call away. They texted me daily to check in and gave me excellent advice. When my puppies were old enough to be adopted they let me have an input into who they would be going to (which I loved because I became attached to these little babies and wanted the best for them). They also let me adopt the one that I bonded with most! He’s been such a joy in my life and I can’t image life without him now. I’ve stayed in contact with everyone at the rescue and I can assure you they are 100 percent in it for the welfare of these dogs. Thank you so much Nancy, Connie and all the staff for everything you did for me. You guys take the pups that are in the most need of help and give them the furever homes they deserve. Once my little guy gets a bit older I’m hoping to foster again through Ozzie and Friends!
