The team at Turramurra learn to swim are incredible. Varity and Sue ensure that they select the best trainers to teach the kids. Our two boys have been learning to swim at this centre for the past four years and we can only speak highly of it. They have many classes through the week which makes it easy to schedule classes or do a make up class within the same term.

Worst place to take your kids to learn how to swim. They use back bubble which is terrible. My kids went there for a whole year and learnt nothing. They actually put them behind and took a long time to reverse it to put their eyes in and kick, otherwise they just doggie paddle. They really need to change their teaching methods or don’t teach at all.

Amazing swim school. My children aged between 5 and 1 are confident and safe in the water with back bubbles only after 2 terms! The teachers run disciplined routine lessons with fun activites and important safety lessons whilst paying close attention to each student's progression in preparation for the next step up. The class sizes are small, and the pool is warm and purpose built. There are many classes throughout the week, including late classes, which also makes doing makeup classes convenient. Centre owner, Verity, is the most nicest person, and is extremely knowledgeable as a swim teacher, and seems to ensure her teachers are of the same high standard. It's been a great pleasure sending our kids here and seeing them flourish into such happy, safe swimmers. Thank you to our wonderful teachers at Turramurra Learn to Swim for giving our kids the gift and joy of swimming. Have recommended your school to every parent that asks for a swim school. Have also heard from other parents that they have tried many other schools but have found your school to be the best as the teachers are consistent and not changing every week like other schools.

Highly recommend the whole team here at TLTS: our daughter has confidently developed at her own pace since she was age 3, and is now happily swimming around without floatation aids!

Thanking Verity and her dedicated team of teachers, for their patience and care in each class! Classes are in small groups of up to 6 kids, adjusting the approach for each child to be comfortable and water-safe as they develop their self-confidence and abilities in the water.

Turramurra swim school, what can I say!? Honestly the best learn to swim school i've been to. I have 3 children who have all learnt how to swim and they are now top of their squad class! No stroke is too difficult to teach! super understanding, amazingly friendly and great garden to sit in while the kids are in class. My sons have turned 13 this year and all they wanted was a pool party and it makes me feel safe that they learnt how to swim with such amazing teachers.

Solid place for kids to learn how to swim - but for some reason they have decided that I can't take my kid there. My wife can take her, but I'm some kind of sub-human according to these people.

Would recommend you avoid.

UPDATE:

Spoke the the owner. Their position is that it isn't safe for humans to sit together, unless they have a procedure which doesn't change your likelihood of passing on pathogens.

Much science, Very science.

If you are looking for a swim centre in the area, I'd go to North Ryde, they are far more reasonable.

Woaw! Within a term, my children who had been swimming (private lessons too) for about a year or so, have improved dramatically!! Previously, they'd be scared, refusing to let go of the supervising adult. They're now confident (still in a safe way) and most importantly enjoying themselves and learning.

We had 3 different teachers as the 4 kids are at different levels. All have been the perfect balance of firm while reassuring.
Their method may seem unconventional at first but now, I feel like I wasted time and money in previous swimming program.

Highly recommended - especially if you have an anxious child

My little ones had always been terrified of water, but they've gain a lot of confidence after just 4 classes here. Really great school for babies and older kids who are new to water!
