My kids had a great time with CCSA. Instructor Indy was great, she gave clear simple instructions, shared lots of knowledge and was a lot of fun!
Admin staff were very flexible regarding rescheduling due to bad weather.

Simply the best outfit on the central coast, can’t recommend them enough. I started out as a 50 year old beginner from the country with shot shoulders, CCSA got me catching waves and going out on my own for some fun ones. Shout out to Brett Gibson who’s taking me to next level now. Check out the holiday camps too, our 7 year old has a blast!

My first ever experience popping up on a board was with CCSA! The instructor was patient and clear with information, answered my many questions and helped me feel comfortable in the water. Highly recommend for adults and kids learning to surf! They also have some amazing programs to progress Kids and Adults which I have heard great things about.

We had a private surf lesson for our nieces and nephews (ages 5 to 10) as a Xmas present. The instructor Ethan was so patient and encouraging with the kids who had the best time in the waves and lots of fun trying to stand up.
From enquiring, booking and facilitating the lesson it was super easy and we were well looked after even changing locations on the day with conditions.

I love it here. We have a beach house at Avoca beach and when we come down my two kids 10 and 12, always do the 6 hour surf lesson. It’s super fun for them and the coaches do part time surfing and some beach games as well. Shout out to Airlie and soren, the two coaches are amazing. They encouraged my kids and helped them to surf. Bit pricy but worth every cent. Recommend.

Really bad communication. School took both active kids vouchers and only got 2 group lessons for this. One of the lessons was cancelled due to beach being closed (not the fault of the school)- was not contacted to rebook and then the group lessons did not even have enough boards for all the participants- very difficult to teach someone who does not even have a board to learn the basics on (the boards arrived later in the hour). It felt like they were happy to take the vouchers but then did not make any effort to book child in. The instructors were generally pretty helpful however I would not recommend this school. I have had a much better experience with a different Central coast surf school

Lessons with Brett at Avoca were perfect! I’m nearly blind, and besides being a great instructor for everyone, Brett has heaps of experience with blind and vision impaired surfers. Super encouraging and positive and helps you quickly level up your skills wherever you’re starting from. Thanks to Brett and Central Coast Surf Academy for making surfing accessible, safe, and fun!
