It’s a shame to leave this review but I feel it is fair and necessary. We rented 78 Griffith Street in Fairlight from 2021 - 2024.

We received notice that our bond will be paid back in full. Rightfully so considering the we left the house in a better condition than when we found it.

However the bond still has not arrived. I’ve spoken with LJH Seaforth and before I could even finish explaining myself they’re wiping their hands of it.

Yes I understand you’ve done what you’re meant to do but you were the last people who had my 3k bond! So my expectation is cooperation. I also asked for an email in writing with the information you discussed with me on the phone? Has that happened yet? No.. still waiting.

Similar to how whenever we asked for anything to be done to improve the standards of the property; ie solve the wet leaking roof. It was like pulling teeth. Weeks and weeks went by. We also asked for the sewage problem to be solved. Ignored. In fact we were back chatted when we followed up and asked for an update.

You also jacked up the price as much as you could until we left and now that it’s back on the market you’ve lowered the rental price below what we were paying. Is that legal. Yes. Is that a testament to the behaviour and culture of LJH Seaforth. Definitely.

We’ve now got another agent looking after us in our new property. And wow the difference in customer service is almost embarrassing; they’re respectful, they’re quick and efficient. They’re what agents should be.

Instead with LJH Seaforth we get sob stories about how many properties they’re managing and how hard it is for them.

I don’t care. Do better. Try harder.

Our initial connection with the team at LJH Seaforth was as a managing agent for our rental property. No complaints or problems on that front. Earlier this year we decided to sell the property, but first we needed to do a major overhaul on the unit as it had been over 20 years since it’s last renovation. The tenant was given notice and soon the planning would begin. We met Tim and Candice on-site and went through the high level plan of what needed to be done. The extensive experience of both Tim and Candice really shone through. We not only received great guidance of what to do, they were also very instrumental in helping us with quotes for the various renovation items.
