The 2023 Las Vegas Book Festival is an amazing event. The authors, vendors and activities were all well planned. This was a wonderful event for all ages. I enjoyed meeting the writers, going to the different workshops and looking at everything books. The layout was perfect which included a food court and monitored activities for the kids. All events were on time and I was impressed by the diverse crowd and welcoming atmosphere. This was my first visit and I look forward to attending next year's event.

It was a moment of pride entering the beloved gates of Fifth street school. Its historic fact was the stance that the Pauite tribe took when demanding a school to be built for the children of Pauite and African American of West Las Vegas. Though evidence of this momentum event was not display, it currently stands as a working community center in the downtown area housing the cultural (arts) affairs department of the city. Various events are plan throughout the year.

Excellent conference and event space in downtown Las Vegas, the school seems to be in perpetual repair. It can be challenging to find out what events are happening when and which entrances to use! Take note of the oak and willow trees on the premises. Beautiful architecture. Well worth a visit.

An incredible serene space just to hang out and experience. Definitely has an historic feel to the space. Several entry points. I would think back in the day, it was open 24/7 for the public to just stroll during a cool evening. Gates are in play, so more an external visual exploration. Perhaps during the day, gates are open. Staff is public friendly and comfortable sharing stories about the history of the school.
