Small but amazing. Our son loves going to his classes and is given so many opportunities that most clubs do not give. The extra time and attention given to the students in addition to their scheduled classes to ensure they are constantly improving is appreciated. If thinking to try it out I would strongly encourage speaking with SENSEI Mel.

Mel is a amazing teacher ,very disciplined and dedicated. Always encouraging and helping the kids to do their best in their challenges from simple stretches to perfect Katas.I personally noticed so much confidence in my kid after joining Shinkyokushin Karate. More recently, Sensei Mel has also begun teaching karate to my 5yo son, whose preschool teacher identified a number of developmental issues relating to school readiness. Karate was recommended by both his physio and OT.

In just a few weeks, his teachers are already noticing an improvement in his ability to self regulate, as well as an improvement in his fundamental movement skills.

Wonderful, patient and highly experienced teacher. My daughter has thrived since beginning Karate lessons with Sensei Mel.
The classes are fun, challenging in an age appropriate way with a high level of deference and respect for the discipline and ethos of Kyokushin Karate.

My 7 year old son has ASD and is developing such great skills with Sensei Melinda at Shinkyokushin Karate Port Macquarie. After school requests karate and exercise and is so keen to get to his class. Sensei has terrific activities to motivate and get his focus and after classes we arrange new foods to try as a reward and reinforcement for the fun sessions and great effort. Highly recommend

I highly recommend Kyokushin Karate in Port Macquarie. Mel is an great Sensei. She is very experienced, disciplined, fair and always kind. After a not so pleasant experience at another dojo, we were so lucky to find Sensei Mel and Kyokushin Karate in Port Macquarie. The kids love the classes and Mel is the perfect blend of disciplined training with genuine care for the children. Cannot recommend this dojo highly enough you're looking for proper martial arts training in a friendly atmosphere at family friendly prices. Mel also provides training for adults and those with disabilities.
