Former Student here. Ms Sumpton was super chill and let me get away with alot of stuff which would've landed me in juvie if anyone else was principal, but it made me realise how misbehaved i was and forced me to change and be better.

I especially remember Mr Peng, Mr Strange, Mr McDonald, Mrs Sumpton, and most of the female years 5 and 6 teachers. I actually knew all of the teachers first names, but I've forgotten like half of them due to not going to the school for a while.

I visited a while ago and holy heck its changed way too much. The new principal is alright but he built a new classroom where kids play which is kind of stupid but hes definitely more qualified than me to judge where new classrooms go so whatever.

When I went to this school, the canteen was pretty hectic and a decent amount of the food was removed and brought back eg slushies, but the lines were extremely long although the prices were suprisingly good. I really miss the chicken fingers though I used to get them in kindy but they removed them.

Toilets are alright, but somehow the hall bathrooms somehow manage to make masochism and elitism work together simultaneously due to how proud you feel while you breathe in the moudly marinating stench of week old urine.

If any of the teachers are reading this if you can guess who I am reach out to me via my email and I'll surprise you with something.

Teachers K - 6

Ms Gates, Ms Luo? (I dont know how to spell it but her old name was Mrs Lamb), Ms Hewitt, Ms Bala (moved from Mr McDonalds), Ms Cale, Mr Strange (I miss you btw) and Mr Howard

I was super chaotic and practically never behaved cause I was a little gremlin so thats a big hint.

Enough yap about guessing generally the school was very enjoyable and I learnt alot about myself, others and had fun learning.

One last thing, Mr Peng if you're reading this please reach out via email I need to talk to you about a bet we made years ago but never figured out who won

Good school! Used to go here. Most of my good times either came from playing outside or from the fairs. Good canteen, good community. However I left partway through, so I don't have any reviews for after my leaving.

A great school! Students are incredibly smart (the school environment isn't super competitive tho), the Italian and French teacher/s are great, many extracurriculars, staff and teachers actually work together SO well, bullying is very rare (legit all bullying goes to principal even the mildest), toilets are kinda bad ngl (I really hope they refurbished them..), the canteen is very mid like all other primary schools (prices keep rising!!). Moving schools is like nothing because there constantly kids transferring over. There's also aircons every classroom unlike high schools which are like a totally different world.
the equipment is so nice
-2023 graduate✨
(edit: new principle sucks..mrs sumpton was so good. I mean he legit built a classroom on the pavements where children play..
The new road lines, markings and walkways on the back exit are definitely way better than before so lucky yall!)
GREAT SCHOOL BTW

This school is great, and provides so many opportunities. Ranked number one primary school in NSW 2022, this school focuses academically and encourages students to do their best in everything. Mrs Butterworth is a fantastic teacher, and is among one of the best in our school. Definitely recommend for your children.

Good school My children moved from HHPS to HNPS because we heard how good it is. The new principal came at the same time they did though many say Sumpton was good.

I would rate this a 6/5 if I could. I was here from K-6 and my experience was amazing. The teachers are amazing and Mrs Sumpton is an encouraging and amazing principal. If i could have more lives, I would go to Hornsby North in every one of them.
Only one complaint: some students get privileges. 5/6B is rigged and all the favourites go there. There is a lot of favouritism and children of teachers get privileges. Apart from that, 100% Send your children to this school if you want them to grow up happy. 100/10.

I attended this school from K-6 a number of years ago and felt so isolated and racially discriminated against especially by Mrs. Butterworth who was teaching Y2 at the time. Surprised she’s still there now teaching Y5/6. I would never send my children there even if the school has advanced over the years a few bad apples really make a huge difference to a child’s environment.
