For anyone considering this school (selective or even transfer) I would recommend sticking with your local school instead.
Marks are especially inconsistent with how the teachers within each faculty fail to communicate, and I have found that this a sub par (at most) environment for those wanting to improve or genuinely achieve decent scores in the HSC exam.

So I tried to apply my son to this school last year because it is the most localised and closest selective school to our place, and for some unfathomable, otherworldly reason, the application was declined? It would be great if I could get some answers

may be heritage listed but it stops renovations from happening
is the discomfort of students really worth old buildings?
Also the teachers keep generalising and act as if they know what the students want... make us do activities we don't like and say "you should be grateful we could not be doing this," then don't.... there should be more student involvement and im not talking about SRC because they don't represent everyone

As ex students, we visited to see our old teachers but the front office ladies were so rude and cold for no reason? We even followed the proper process to get a visitors pass but their attitude and tone was extremely dismissive and looked down on us. For visitors, don’t visit. Certainly turned off going and they paint the school image in such a bad light. It’s a slap on the face to be honest, as alumni of this school.

I went to this school many years ago. It is not a private school, it is a selective public school. And a good one at that. If your daughter gets into the school, she will get a good education in a challenging environment.
